Actually, I think the bear in the hospital photo is from a town in Alaska. Our tour guide mentioned it.

First picture is northern Japan. Note how they are driving on the left side of the road. Sauce: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e7550.html

I got a "good deed" ticket when I was 14 for wearing a helmet on my bike. Free cone at McDonald's.

I think the snow one is actually from the US awhile ago

Actually it is from Japan. Otherwise, they'd be driving on the wrong side of the road.

moose are a real hazard, there was just a multi car accident in NB yesterday and 2 people died from hitting the moose with their minivan

...Are you from NB? If so, where?

no it made national news since there were fatalities and they want to talk about putting up fences now, I'm in AB

Oh lord, I need to look this up now. There's already a ton of fence between Moncton and NB on the TransCanada. And it's not like 1/2

NB really has the money to spend on... well, anything.

It was just talk, but it makes sense. Hwy 1 is all fenced in the wild areas in AB/BC to keep moose, deer, bears etc off the roads
