My grandfather was shot down over Nazi Germany and survived a POW camp and one of the Death Marches near the end of the war. After he came home, he struggled deeply with the scars the Nazis had inflicted on him, but still remained a loving and wonderful man who lived long a long and fruitful life, watching his family grow across four generations. He left this world four years ago, and we still miss him every day.

Thank you for your service. Thank you, all who serve. You give so much for us all.

He looks like the type of man who would have a glass of bourbon while telling you a story, then at the end he says 1/2
