It's just meatloaf and things.

For my little girl. Because.

Dinner and beyond!

Broccoli.

2 of 3 heads (bowl is only so big). Butter/salt/pepper/sugar/msg, just sprinkled right on top. Wrap tight and nuke. For this much? 5 minutes. Perhaps 5.5. Less for less.

There will be turkey "bacon." I don't care one iota whence. It's headed for the oven now.

Loaf time.

Something like this!

Oo! Look at the fancy pan I found while digging through the cabinets.

Fry up a round to taste for salt (blurry, yes).

Glad I did: it needed plenty more.

There was more meat than the rectangular prism could bear.

Sauce. There's ketchup in there too.

Two probes, the better. Heh.

Eh, gotta get them out of this fat.

The other came along some minutes later.

Dropping many, large chunks of spud into hot water is fraught with spicy dermis. Which is why - I suspect - some recipes say to put them in cold water then heat.

Tres leches (milk/sour cream/butter) meet hot, soft potato.

Keep 'em loose. They will thicken when cool. Ended up adding a lot more milk/sour cream/butter than pictured here.

Mashed and turkied. Salt and pepper.

Gravy starts with meatloaf fat; flour sprinkled ALL the way from container to pan...

Hot stock.

Skosh of wine. Gravy.

What the hell is this? Boiled eggs aren't involved.

My daughter would like you to see her plate too.

Oh, the carrots are leftovers. Chonked; simmered in butter, salt, and sugar. Until SOFT, perhaps 30 minutes. Mash. Parsley. A bit more butter as needed.

I'm with team daughter on this one, my food doesn't touch till it's in my tummy. And if you put the meatloaf on top of sliced bread before baking it soaks up the grease

Ha! Oo... that's a VERY good idea. Then we fry and eat the bread, yeah? Maybe just in winter. Hang on, lemme look outside a moment.... OH HEY

Hell yeah I mean you don't want to waste food when there's starving children in Africa as my mom likes to always tell me
