Last time I got severely ill, it ended up costing literally 1 month worth of savings to equal one week sick (due to lost income + continued cost of living + cost of dr notes so i dont get fired)
Got sick 4 weeks before I could have qualified for aid. Was sick for 3 weeks. Wasn't on company health insurance yet, so i paid out of pocket (had to use urgent care to get proof/date of being sick, then another later to prove I was well enough to return)

I skip taking my leukemia medicine a few days every month, as long as I'm undetectable and in remission.
This way I slowly build a stockpile of a medicine in always in danger of having turned off at a moment notice and am unable to resupply due to either cost or scarcity.
I have 4 months supply built up. Without this medicine I die, white blood cells spike, body gets infections, deceased.

Well mathematically it does make sense when you consider that Americans pay around 200% - 300% more for health care per capita than most European countries with universal healthcare do. And in the UK the income taxes which pay for it are virtually identical. The rich do also pay a tiny sliver more in income tax. But what about the CEO's and the extra middlemen that are critical to administrating your surgery and prescriptions? Someone needs to really consider the middleman before acting rashly.

When? When did they have all three? During Biden's time? Because they didn't. First, it was only for the first 2 years where they had the house, an even split in the Senate (allowing manchin and cinema to stop everything) and didn't have the SC (who also ended up overturning many of Biden's executive orders)
The only time Dems ever controlled all 3 branches, I believe, was a brief moment during Obama's term in which he pushed for the ACA.

You are ignoring the part where the people who have 13 guns per person in their family are the ones who voted in favor of this. While there are certainly progressives and leftists who are armed, they are a small minority compared to the number of heavily armed chuds and armed centrists/liberals who will always side with the chuds when pressed to make a real choice.
