I've been super burnt out at my current job- like, nearly shaking before I go back from lunch some days. My new manager is new to the industry, and spends a lot of time pretending he knows things and then screwing things up and blaming me as the senior underling. He'll legit leave me on "read" for 72 hours, then be surprised when I need something or there's an issue we could have avoided. But of course after I spend 30 minutes explaining it to him, he's the hero for "discovering" the problem.

We have a stupid schedule, with mandatory overtime shifts (24 hour notice) and lots of split shifts on those that super suck. Like, go in for 2 hours, nothing for 2 hours, back for three hours... I never know week to week what my hours or schedule will really be, or what group I'll be working in, doing what. Because I'm trained in like 6 groups/am fucking competent, I get put wherever they need me from hour to hour and get grabbed by other managers mid-shift and even mid-task. My manager lets them whenever they want. Been putting out resumes, so far no leads other than this internal team who needed a new person. Was bummed when they decided that they didn't actually need anyone for that specific role, which they announced to all the applicants. At the interview.

Now I'm gonna get some time in with a steady 8-5, Monday-Friday job with "Acting Manager" in my title. With 50 cents an hour more pay. And no douchebag to report to. I'll only be working for one guy for several months straight, and he's super chill. I start training on Sunday!

Sounds like a step up but not sure about your company. The way they treat employees sucks.
