Banjo is short. She has to have short grass or she hates going out. We have a special segment of yard just for the dogs kept better than some of the outskirts.

Lawns are a status symbol from bygone era, the only purpose of them was to show "Look, I don't have to grow vegetables, because I am rich. Look how rich I am, I buy all my potatoes and tomatoes from grocery store." And somehow HOAs just continue to perpetrate that, even when it no longer makes sense.

Live in the mountains, still baffles me how many people lose all the plants keeping their hillside together, then get shocked when they lose several inches a year (sad-giggity) each time it rains...

I'm pretty sure a ton of people literally do not understand even the most basic aspects of habitat interaction and look at plants purely as decoration.
