Desperately we need to stop eating beef. Then all the other animals we eat that suffer horrendously for the ridiculously cheap meat products. Kurzkezagt did a great vid recently on meat.

Pound of meat for pound of meat, look at the amount of land and feed chickens require vs beef. Beef doesn't make sense. Even though it is a nice treat in moderation. Bring back the bison!

I'm still one of them, alas. But I am focused on reducing more and more. And I do not eat beef anymore. Next is pork and then chicken, fish etc.

The beef i eat is all pasture raised in natural grasslands meh

Most beef is. That's the problem.. it used tons and tons of feed crops and enormous amounts of fresh water and huge swaths of space just to raise cattle for our consumption. Their methane excretions are detrimental to the environment. They cut down swaths of forest illegally in countries. It's horrible.

Like I said...natural grassland. Nothing was cut down. Nothing was destroyed. Nothing is getting polluted.

We need to stop eating mammals period. Pig farming is just as bad.

God it's bad.. sows don't even get to stand up their entire lives.

I go meat-free 2 days a week. So I think I'm ahead of the curve. I'll go to three when the world starts to catch up with me. https://www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/71357319-earth-needs-better?store_id=275734

While I don't think I could ever become a vegetarian, I think I could become a fruitatarian (is that a word?) if only the stores near me had decent fruits. Even my efforts to eat salads occasionally are frustrated because I can't find bean sprouts etc. The stores in my area suck. Because I have a choice of Walmart Superstore, Walmart Neighborhood market, or a long drive.

A fruitarian actually is a thing :-) and I actually know a few of them on some vegan Discord servers. There's also a such thing as a junk food vegan lol My roommate is one. 53-year-old woman with the pallet of a 9-year-old girl. Loves vegan corn dogs and pizza and lasagna lol

That's called an "ad hominem" fallacy. It's when someone attacks the person making the argument instead of addressing the argument itself.
