From my current read 'We begin at the end' by Chris Whitaker
I thought this was hilarious!
Anyone else read any particularly good piece in their book today?

From “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig, this is an entire chapter: A Moment of Extreme Crisis in the Middle of Nowhere - “Oh fuck,” whispered Nora, into the cold.

"It was a dark and stormy eyebrow. Just the one, but it was more than up to the job of two."

Did you just make that up yourself? 🤣🤣🤣

Giving me Pratchetty vibes. Do you recommend? I need a new author

Pratchett and Gaiman really set the bar for modern authors. Terry in particular had an incredible way with words. I read his books as a kid (mainly because of kirbys scantily clad cover art if I'm honest) and loved them then but re-reading them as an adult- wow. The man deserved to be "accused of literature". Can't wait to read them again to my son when he's old enough.

I'm 11% into it and it's shaping up well so far. Little girl murdered. Boy of 15 put away for 30 years. Just released from prison. Best friend of current police chief, who has a pill dependency....
