Does a Lich need to eat human food? Doesn’t he live off peoples souls?

At least in 5E this is 100% accurate

#14 It's nice to see Dimension 20 getting love. A truly wonderful show.

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I just started watching it, and it's hilarious. Brennan is a crazy good DM

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Hell yeah. I like it more than Critical Role. (And I love Critical Role.)

Source (site is very NSFW) for #7: https://www.oglaf.com/forbiddenwoods/

Lucky you, our session got canceled. Again.

4 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

Mega bummer :(

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Darn cancel culture!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My whole game's dead.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Any time we have to miss a session I tell my DM that I thoroughly enjoyed this now dead campaign and to let me know when the new campaign is

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Same. But in all fairness, two people were sick and could barely talk, so it's probably a good thing to postpone. Can't wait to play again.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Two of our members moved out of state so my group has started playing over zoom.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup. Us too! We started 5 yrs ago but now live across 7 time zones, so online sessions only.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just finished one of my sessions - DM and I live in Australia, rest of the party are from the US. Makes it interesting.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I finished my last campaign…The gm quit/got fired and I took over for just the last battle to top it off. Got better reviews as gm though.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

#33 the corporate sniper was such a good skit. Rest in peace Trevor. Your loss was a great one

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

what is this and are these the actual subtitles

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's from the movie Wolf Children, and not the actual subtitles.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Ah, the order always gets messed up in the second edition.

#33 Fireballs do good damage, but you'll do more by making the Big Stupid Fighter gargantuan, or the glass cannon into an adamantine minigun

Tongue-kissing her in front of her mom or dad is also a power move, especially if you make eye contact with the villain while doing it.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Doing weird stuff is generally more efficient than healing, damage mitigation gets you more value per round than trying to heal up afterward

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's true. And like I said, buffing damage dealers gets more mileage than doing the damage yourself. It's very similar.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I believe you. You're literally a wizard

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's very level- and edition-dependent though. 3.5, level 1-10, true. Level 15+, generally not. No buff can let the FTR do 40d6 dmg/turn.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

By that point you usually buff the rogue, that way he hits about double that with dual-wielding and sneak attack.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Okay, true, but some of those will be lower-level and pre-battle (Haste, invisibility, e.g.), and not interfere with disintegrating enemies.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, sure? The point was that the buffs would achieve better damage output though, which is true, even if you can disintegrate as well

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but thats not as fun for me

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I played a pathfinder bard, and yes, it did make combat boring being a super buff to the party. Out of combat though, oh i shined

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#8 did you get this from a fukken time machine ? ...wonder if it's still going

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Shamelessly stolen :)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We were supposed to have our first session tomorrow. It was canceled because one of the players has covid. *cries*

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Roll20! Virtual table top. Its great.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I do agree with that but another of our group doesnt have good internet or a computer that can run it. We thought of this at the start.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My players needed to get the support of the local merchant lords in order to help fund a war effort. They decided the best way to do 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This was to become the local merchant lords and after three sessions of blackmail, money laundering, insurance fraud, and identity theft 2/3

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They succeeded. I will never forget that part of my campaign. 3/3

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#22 18/00

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I Always upvote DnD! New for 2022, remember to split the party! For the chaotic good.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#21 I'm about to play one that's too pretty for dwarves and to chunky for elves so both sides think he's ugly but humans think he's gorgeous

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#30 broke vamps don't have a private place to crash and escape the suns glare or adventurers with an axe to grind.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#33 once as a bard I got captured by the local Lord and got thrown in prison with about 20 dudes. I convinced them all to strip down and 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I cast grease on them with the power of chain gain songs and we were all to slippery to catch and we crashed his wedding by shitting on him.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

AWESOME!!!!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#33 what is this from?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

From an amazing sketch comedy group called the whitest kids you know https://youtu.be/mpC_hO15IoA the skit in question

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's "nemeses," not "nemesi."

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Came here to say this, you're doing good work, my guy!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

v

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Heh, rewatched it this week

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#8 is from https://www.goblinscomic.org/ if you would like more (although it gets much more interested in world building over gag comedy)

4 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 1

I'M SAD

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's decent world-building though so not a bad read.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Not at all, good fun stuff, but it's a fairly radical shift from simple DnD humor.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jesus, a Goblins reference in the wild, I dont think I've *ever* seen that before

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's a great comic, it just has an excruciatingly slow update schedule. Literal months per update sometimes

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

as long as we have update, where is the problem ?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The main downside to the comic is how long it takes for pages to come out.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Is he still doing it? I thought he said he was done some 10 years back

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think a friend or something took over

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah, there was a whole patreon scam thing- author got scammed, and they took all her pledges and ran. Now theyre working on a cartoon adapt.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, she's still going (she transitioned a few years ago).

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

oh, huh

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tried to read it quite a few years back, was enjoying it. Got livid when the necklace was taken, put it down and never picked it back up.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Kin is back in the story now. The necklace is trying to be.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That was my red line too. It got crossed, and no author's saving throw will uncross it. It went too far.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Killed any good feelings I had about the comic. They were so salty about their own lives they had to ruin someone else's happiness.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thirded. Brainwashing/memory fuckery is my instant "Well, this is dead to me forever" trigger.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same. Add to that the fact the only reason they took it was because she didn't suffer as much as they did. Pure spiteful motives.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#1 There is more, I wish I could find that post.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Serious? I didn’t know that! Time to start hunting!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#4 8 bajillion amazon employees would disagree

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

True! But Level of the henchmen! Bezos inner circle has to like him. Lower we go, the more society structure dictates where to be employed.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I always wanted to try D&D, never knew anybody that had it or also wanted to try.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Same.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Read the standard rules to learn the basics, and look on r/lfg to find people willing to DM. It may take a while as players outnumber DMs.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There are a few site, like Roll20, that can help you find a group to play with. A lot of games are new player friendly.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#41 #42 anyone got some sauce.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I found it on Pinterest but stolen from there. :/

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#21 but a human and a dwarf together in Dark Sun make a Mul, a psionically gifted crossbreed taller than a human yet stouter than a dwarf.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

André the Giant, then?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#30 They have slaves to do a bunch of shit for them.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

#33 - a big rock and some gravity can kill, but magic? Magic can do infinitely more creative, and infinitely worse things.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Illusion, Domination, Teleportation, and Transmutation.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My favorite idea to mess with people would be to cast transform and make things an inch or two either shorter or taller. The possibilities

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Are endless. Player wakes up and their sword feel weird in hand and it takes a while to realize that it's been transformed to be an inch

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Longer. Or that somebody keeps tripping because the left leg is now half an inch shorter. or even worse, perfectly round fruit. Lost mind.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Calm down Satan!!! :)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#42 i feel like this is only viable if the bandits are non-murdery or you find out you were lied to by the quest giver. Ain't gonna feel bad

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Slaying 5 dudes who come whooping out of the brush brandishing axes, even if they are a loving parent. Conversely, once my party raided a

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fortress of supposed child kidnapping slavers, but found out they were basically just a pirate orphanage collecting homeless children so

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The kids didn't live on the streets. Soon as we realized the mistake we stopped the conflict and apologized for the two dozen dead guys

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Oh no, these bandits raided, murdered and plundered to feed their families!" - "Cool motive, still murder."

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Eh. Hero for one story is the Villain to another. And as players, we’re a diverse group, so “good” & “bad” is up for debate. A lot.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I guess I'm just saying it's hard to build pathos for someone actively seeking to murder you for your shoes

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

#43 Green health potions > red health potions. Fight me.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Everybody knows green potions are poison.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I will not. But I switched mine to Blue after reading this and everyone yelled NO!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My entire existence is validated on how much I screw with people so if I were in that position I would never describe anything explicitly as

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

a "health potion" only a 'red potion' and when in a minor battle somebody says they "drink the red potion" I would describe to them a

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pleasant tomato soup. Health potions were the "blue vials emanating a strange power" as if magically healing wounds wouldn't be strange lol

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And then when they say. I took they blue potion! You can be confused and ask if they meant the green one. :)
