Seneca the younger never said that. It wouldn't make sense for him to either

I feel like we already did this… in the 80s right? These evangelicals then, I seem to vaguely recall them being labeled “Christian Zionist” which may have been a buzz term in the late 80s.

We have never, in all of human history, stopped being this way. You can't win against this shit till we stop making people poor on purpose. Until then, we fight every generation to stop the wealthy from rolling us back to full generational slavery.

Broadly speaking.

IIRC Christian Zionists was a term in vogue because of the (at the time) counterintuitive Evangelical support for Israel. But its not so much a "already did this"... its a "still doing this". the Evangelical forces that explicitly support Israel because they are trying to bring about Biblical End times never went away. They just weren't reported on consistently. I'm reminded of that dude in Texas trying to breed the perfect Red heifer so that the Third Temple an be consecrated.

Yep. It's a "still doing this" thing.

Churches pushed their members to get into local politics to eventually push for national politics. They want to undermine the separation of church and state. Which, when I was a church goer I was like "ummm. No. That's un-American..."

I've sense outgrown their imaginary friends.
