As a photographer I hate this, I understand it more from someone under the paparazzi eye, and if it's only once in a while whatever, but please don't do this to your friends in every photo, you will look back on it in 20 years and wish there were pics were you aren't flipping off the camera.

You've missed the point, I'm not talking about people who don't want to be photographed at all, I try very hard to respect that though occasionally someone ends up in the back of a crowd shot. I'm talking about people who think it's funny or cute or whatever, but clearly have no issue being in the photo.
