I'm a multi millionaire and saving money absolutely helped. So did working hard and studying and all the other bullshit that people make fun of. I'm 52, I started working at 17, it took forever. I got lucky, and much more importantly, I never got unlucky, and I benefitted from a system that was easier to get into in 1993 than it is 2024. But yes, saving money helps, esp if you're not gonna inheirit a fortune.

My dad was a public school teacher, before he died of alzheimer's a couple years ago. So was my mom. We were lucky in that they taught in Los Angeles, a big city with lots of job opportunities so that's where I grew up. My first job was at the public swimming pool on Sepulveda Blvd just above Ohio Ave.

Genuinely happy to answer any questions anyone has. There's nothing secret or difficult about how I got where I am, because where I am is not all that special compared to everyone I grew up with, we're all at about this same (not nearly as rich as it sounds) level.

Had to ask as so many "self made men" have gotten where they are by connections and money from their parents (I personally know 1 guy that is this type... had a hobby of twisting cars that daddy bought around the lamp posts n got 500K loan backing to buy the company he is running now.. but never got a penny from anywhere :) )

Definitely make no mistake, I got where I was in part 'cause I was white & male and my parents were college educated and stable. Like I said, I got lucky and far more importantly I never got unlucky.

I guess, the point is, it didn't take two years, it took most of my adult life. And every day I had a choices and I made the ones that led me here, and honestly the end result feels much better than spending an extra $5 a day on coffee or whatever.

People, being a millionaire isn't hard ok? Just, find a product that people want or need, make that product, then exploit the working class for cheap labor. Then pay someone a ton of money to exploit them for you while you start a new business exploiting the working class for even more money. A bit of hard work (not your own) and you're a capitalist.
