cover of my oldest SF pulp magazine, Perry Rhodan number 56, first edition, published 28.09.1962 - so it's slightly older than me. I basically learned to read from these pulp magazines (I was allowed to read them after my dad had finished with them). I got a couple of older ones, but that's the oldest that still has a cover.
Bonus image - line drawing from the inside of the magazine: Gucky impersonating a fictious galactic ruler in order to pass by some Arkonidic guards. Gucky resembles a cross-over between a mouse and a beaver, about 1.3 meters high, with something like Loki's sense of humour and, as a high level mutant, the powers to match it as well as a very dark past.
Oh, and Perry Rhodan is still going on, now at volume #3254, published on 29.12.2023. The price has risen slightly, though - one volume now is at 2.70 €, that's (according to the official exchange rate of roughly 2:1) 5.40 DM, something like 7 and a half times the price from 1962...
