I believe he WILL drop Vance. When people say "but he's been nominated and he's on the ticket", Trump will say "I'll have him resign. We'll pick someone else. I'll fix it once I am in office after he makes a formal resignation by nominating his replacement to the Senate".
Sadly, that might even work with the MAGAtts.

I can totally see him trying to run with himself as the VP, so he can be the one to certify (or not) the elections, and the SCOTUS is crazy and corrupt enough to do it. In an alternate reality, he does this, somehow wins, but the dems get control of congress, then Trump drops dead and the new dem speaker of the house becomes president. But I truly, deeply, with all my soul hope Trump doesn't win.
