Hand-cut collage with vintage and antique paper.

Combines Tom Thomson ‘s Tamaracks (1916) and a page featuring an advertisement for Syracuse China from The Ladies Home Journal (Oct 1919).

"Tamarack trees (Larix laricina) are unique deciduous conifers that turn a brilliant, golden yellow in late autumn before shedding their needles for winter. Unlike evergreen conifers, their soft, green needles change color, often in October, creating a "golden encore" after other deciduous trees have lost their leaves."
