Good note for truckers out there overpass clearances are supposed to be 16ft but 14ft is permitted. Such as the sign on that one saying 14ft. Truck and RV GPS help on unknown routes, as they let you input your vertical clearance.
And sometimes those measurements are off if they’ve paved over or redone the roads. I know local roads would say 13’ 6” which is as the min clearance for my boom truck, but it was not 13’ 6”, that much I can assure you.
He couldn't see what had happened until after it fell on his car. He was in line with the cab. There was no way for him to see it. It didn't look like his car was damaged much. Maybe a few scratches on the top

At the very start there's a "14'-11" sign visible. Bridge is fine, That truck was illegally over height... briefly.

The actual height is higher than the posted height. It was still legally over height after being truncated.
