That's not how that works, he was found liable not due to a lack of evidence but because it was a civil case due to the statute of limitations being extended and since he penetrated her with fingers instead of genitalia it didn't fit the legal defintion of rape in the state at the time. The legal defintion was updated within a year and a judge confirmed this was rape by the common understanding of rape.

To be fair, even though I believe it is true, that is an allegation with no proof. What we do have proof of is all republicans are protecting pedophiles. It has been the official party platform in 09/24 when speaker Johnson block the swearing in of the final signature on the discharge petition to release the files.
