This is really good. @op did you do the translation? Itf so, it reads so smoothly and I comment you. The one thing I would suggest is to do away with the use of name + honorific when a simple "you" in English works. Toward the end the sister is talking to Yuki and she says "Yuki+Kun is going to be all grown up." It would be more natural for her to say "you" instead since she's talking to him. You don't lose ANYTHING by dropping the Japanese style bc there's nothing special encoded in yukikun

I have a shrine to my parents and my ancestors to remind me that I must make a positive difference in this world. My dad was a SERE instructor, my mom was the CFO of a software developer. I'm sorry to hear that. Truth be told my mom had a health scare recently, and I was really hoping this story wouldn't suddenly become relevant. I lost my dad at a young age, but I'm gonna be a wreck when the time comes.
