Miller's idea of diplomacy: Might makes right.

Since NATO's founding in 1949, no NATO country has ever attacked another. Apparently, the current US administration would have no problem changing that.

The similarities are no coincidence.

There are already multiple Nato countries that said they’re coming to Denmark‘s aid if the US invades. This will get ugly very, very fast. The US is threatening their closest friends of last year, and I want to wake up in the 90s again..

Unfortunately, it is not only the USA that suffers from this fascist cult, but a large part of the world.

NATO just needs to expell the US right now and force the US military out of their countries to show that they are united against the US. if they bow down to the US it'll just show weakness and division to China and Russia. Granted I dont know what Russia is even capable of against the EU.

No. Better solution. Everyone agrees to sell off US debt at the same time. It would be the hardest crash of the US economy in history.

Hell just China needs to do that.

Japan, China, and the UK each hold enough that each could do it on their own, evidently. The problem is the crash would effect the world economy & drag them down too. Big ole house of cards.

Has NATO made an official statement on this yet? I haven't seen one. They should make one soon or it will be too late. That would change the dynamics of the situation.

Unfortunately, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is a sycophant who fawns over Trump. And some heads of state of the European NATO partners are attempting friendly diplomacy, fearing economic repercussions for their countries. None of them have shown much backbone yet.

Most if not all of the rest of NATO has come out against this. It will be the US against all of the European Union, plus Great Britain, and Canada and Mexico aren’t gonna just let the US do whatever it wants. Add in a lot of blue states will provide a lot of internal resistance once this shit kicks off - or even if the blue states don’t, there’s enough to suggest other countries won’t be idle. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/06/world/americas/greenland-europe-trump-threats.html

But how will they stop him? Serious question. Let alone the logistics of taking over a functioning government and all it's departments against the staffs will. He'd have to replace enough staff with Americans.

How will the rest of NATO stop him? Really?

Little off-topic, but I don't know how the US expects to control Venezuela without boots on the ground, for the same reason. Think it comes back to that merry band of incompetents being in way over their heads.

Yup. It will need a lot of people with specialist experience. Take them away from his own government departments?

Well, there ARE a lot of highly-experienced & professional government workers currently made unemployed by Trump & Musk...
