Grabbed a screenshot wondering if it would be important.  I'm a day behind.  No spoilers here.

To me the finale definitely felt the most disjointed of the episodes to date. Seemed at times very disorienting. I'm sure that was stylistically intentional. Would love to hear other thoughts. Also lovely and subtle use of Radiohead. They planted that seed a few episodes ago on the player piano in the saloon. Radiohead fans probably caught it.

Here's the song, be sure to listen to the lyrics. https://youtu.be/8051Hipbmmw (4:24)

My friend and I actually predicted most of what was going to happen, so it actually felt like a big payoff for us.

Almost everything is telegraphed, but in a very subtle manner. It's like watching a puzzle with an finite answer.

re: radiohead: they've also used 'Fake Plastic Trees' and 'Motion Picture Soundtrack' in the show. Waiting for Paranoid Android.

But yeah, the lyrics and timing with the story/scene were perfect. The creators and the musical director are long-time Radiohead fans.

This show is littered with classic songs and never songs Paint it black and black hole sun are both played on the player piano

Hell yeah! I didn't catch black hole sun, but definitely remember Paint it black.

My best friend got me into the show. Said the same thing. P.s. Is your username the punchline to a Native American joke I heard long ago?

Also I fucking love that joke and haven't heard it in probably 20 years. Love, Soaring Eagle.

He gave up on the show. I still like it.

There's been many a famous song thrown in.. Nin was played... I think coldplay too. What was disjointed to you?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah, the modern music was interwoven beautifully. Maybe disjointed was the wrong word? I'm still processing it.

The whole escape thing where they killed all those guards who were suddenly really bad at their job, felt like the suits got involved

To be fair both host were altered to have perception and intelligence at peak and pain tolerance at minimum. Distinct advantage over humans.

They are bad at their jobs.. But robots in theory would be better anyways. Ford programmed that whole sequence. Maeve did not orchestrate.

I understand why they did it, I just mean the execution of the scene was not on par with the rest of the show.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah.. I could agree with that. when everything else was so meticulously laid out I guess it felt a bit off..

Oh.. You meant hbo suits.. Yeah.. Definitely see your point now.
