Commenting with a personal GIF on an Iphone is a royal PITA. Now that they changed the GIF library to be GIPHY, I don't even bother non-text comments anymore. It's not worth the hassle.

Yes. They discussed it here a little back when it happened. They decided that they weren't doing well maintaining their GIF library... and they'd move to Giphy.
Supposedly they were going to integrate the old library with Giphy access but it's been quite a while and I've heard nothing of it lately. The Giphy interface is beyond terrible (but still not as bad as trying to use your own graphic on a phone).

I saved it. But what do you mean by "release"? These are all public posted images and videos. And after inspecting the download, I can confirm that nothing personal is there, other than the publicly posted stuff.
