Toad in the Hole

A co-worker of mine mentioned his parent's favorite food is Toad in the Hole. I'd never heard of it, so I checked teh g0ogz.
Turns out English cuisine aint all bad. I followed Marco Pierre White's recipe on YouTube (though I winged the gravy), and it were dad-gum good.

Yorkshire Pudding batter: Eggs, flour, and milk. As much as you like- apparently there's no real recipe. Chilled in the fridge after mixing for about two hours.

Onion gravy: Red onion, red wine vinegar, Worster sauce, chicken/beef stock, and flour to to the desired consistency and season to taste (If any of you Brits have a better recipe, I'm all ears).

Bangers (Yes, I had to learn why they're called bangers). Couldnt find Cumberlands anywhere locally, so these are chicken, made with apples and gouda. Not traditional, but pretty fucking good. Poke holes in them, then brown in a pan. Pour them in a baking dish with the grease & drippings, then put the dish in the oven at 400-425 (f). Let it get nice and hot, then pour in the Yorkie batter. 25-30min in the oven (Dont open it! The pudding needs to rise up during cooking!). Served with peas, since that's what all the UK folk said on all the forums.

TL;DR : It was fucking delicious.
