The blue bridge is our Main St bridge. That's my commute to work.

The building I work in downtown (on the right)

My building across the street. Work was canceled today btw, but we're back tomorrow.. Lol

That's the Hyatt Regency downtown. It was on the river and now it's in the river.

Riverside park is now part of the St Johns river

It's not all bad though! A baby manatee that was stranded on shore was safely returned to the river.

Jacksonville, FL Irma wrecked us more than anyone thought it would. We reached a new all time high flooding record.

I work downtown and the water is mostly gone but there's still shit everywhere and it smells like stale ocean times a thousand.

May I ask how it's looking now? I'm from there as well.

It's mostly back to normal. The modis/wells Fargo building downtown is still out of power and they think it might be for a month or more

Everything is still a little dirty, literally, like the dirt from the st Johns. And it still smells like stale fish water downtown.

San Marco and riverside were hit hard but we're definitely getting back. All in all we're lucky given what could've happened
