Remember that pre-apocalypse morning when you said 'good morning' to Kevin, and got no reply? Pie's tastin' pretty good now, bitch.

Iguana on a Stick is made of people! It's made of people!

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a relief, I like iguanas.

If you're not sure you liked Kevin, why do you think that adding pineapple would help?

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Heeeey! It doesn't have to be only human flesh. Perhaps I just knew beforehand that rats, cockroachs and billionaires are the most likely to survive in an apolcalyptic setting and had some recipes ready beforehand?

And remember, brains are only for tanning leather. Everything other part is varying degrees of edible, brains are just for tanning.

but it's ok from animals right? Because on Alone they are regularly eating rabbit and squirrel brains.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

More or less, aye. Humans are just generally filthy, and eventually you might eat one that starts a pretty catastrophic cascade in brain eating societies

I like Kevin better with hot sauce.

I like Kevin as more of a soup than a neighbor.

I know I’d die pretty fast if an apocalypse happened because I’m on like 40 meds a day and 1 a week so as long as the death was swift I’d donate myself. Bonus, I’m fat so a slow roasting would probably be delicious.

I've already lived off grid, growing my own food and such. I hated it. Even if I didn't have all these meds, I'd still be like "Fuck it, me first, I ain't doing that shit again!"

That time when Alex Jones screamed on air how in the time of apocalypse he is going to eat your ass.

How much am I about to like Kevin?

I'm not taking advice from a man named "Herbert West." Anything he's trying to tell me is probably so he can get me killed and have a fresh corpse to experiment on. https://media3.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPWE1NzM3M2U1MzRxbHR1ZG54NnlrcDNwZW5kN250em1qNnViZW9ib24zOHY4cXNwbSZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/4aUxSOVPgC25i/200w.webp

I was at a food anthropologist conference when, during an open session, someone asked the speakers how to cook people. It was clearly a joke, but all three said at the same time "You cook people the same as pork." As for a good marinade, they had several suggestions.

So argument: people often fail to fully grasp they are in an apocalyptic society. Like the pie shop under the barber was at a time when there was a massive food shortage due to bad harvest and was over priced due to bad laws and importing was hard due to wars, the great hunger in Ireland, and urbanization straining the food system. So by all means no one should have expected a broke-ass pie shop under a barber to be able to afford that much meat.

The movie Delicatessen comes to mind.

At least *that* "special recipe" didn't have people's *meat* in it. (I can't believe how specific I had to be with this sentence for it to be correct)

Try the Priest...

Honestly I've been itching to try people.

There was a kind of flavored tofu called Hufu that's supposed to taste just like human meat. Supposedly they worked with anthropologists and actual cannibals to make it as accurate as possible.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry, but no. I have in my very adventurous endeavors in eating have ever been fed tofu by someone that said it tasted like meat and had it taste ANYTHING like what they claim. And I like tofu.

That being said, I'm glad someone is playing with the concept. I always wonder if we can grow lab meat could I grow my own steak from me? If it's good could I sell myself? A nice Steve tar tar with yolk on top, perhaps?

As long as there's no nerve or brain tissue. Stick to just the meat please!

As if you'd be able to afford the good stuff.

I remember when playing Grim Dawn for the first time and we reach a village where everything is perfect and golden in what is basically a post-apocalypse. Several lore notes go into graphic detail about cutting meat, and we are even asked to rescue prisoners who are then invited to stay for dinner.

I was offered meat. I refused.

Some people would be better as pies, is all I'm saying....

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And there are some people who would be a fine pie filling that I would delight in tossing uneaten with the comment, "Shame, she died for nothing."
