Cars are fun, but we subsidize car centric infrastructure to the detriment of just about every city/town going bankrupt when it comes time to replace it. Also see: Our failing bridge infrastructure.
Not a car enthusiast, but I would have gone with scenery as my #1 criterion and road trip experience as #2. What's the fun in having a fun car if you don't get to use it for anything worthwhile?
Yeah. Numbers 1, 2, and 3 suck to drive in recreationally. Flat bullshit and pine forests. Though, Florida does have a strong car culture with all the shows and whatnot.
4, 5, and 6 do have a lot of scenic and winding roads that are fun even in a minivan.
