#9 dude looks very Renaissance. Waiting for Hans Holbein to paint him

#37 the Fapper in charge, huh.

#1 even if you didn't live the Moon Knight show (I did), nobody can deny that May Calamawy's Layla was the best part of it all.

I want more Scarlet Scarab, dammit! She was so cool!

It is silly that i have to work in the summer.. I should be lounging in the shade with a cool drink, enjoying the breeze, or wandering the forrest with companions, like we are visiting the court of the fey for a formal gathering.

#37 In about 1990, my government contractor workplace, demonstrating how advanced it was, implemented a system for project management. They called it "Project Management System," or PMS. They sent out a whole memo telling everyone that if they had problems with PMS, to go see Firstname Lastname, and he would help you. They were clueless.

#4 how they haven't tapped him as the next Indy I don't know. I would totally go see a movie where an adult Short Round has a couple PHDs in history and archeology took over the crown

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#15 But which way? I would want to see the stats broken out on how many thought they were being flirted with when they weren't vs the opposite. Here on imgur we hear mostly from the oblivious, but out in the real world I mostly encounter people who think that waitress is really into them

#32 IDK, is it COOL to not offer your neighbours a hit?

#22 oh I want to comment, but legally, I cannot. …sigh…

...I really want to point out that it's also not even The Last of Us 2. The image is from Horizon Zero Dawn / Forbidden West

"Can you imagine being 40 and still having to ask for permission to reach the top shelf?"

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#7 Read a book years ago that included child turned vampires.
It was super depressing, though, because they were usually turned because they were on their deathbed from injury or illness, and their parents didn't want to let them go. But once the child was turned, they didn't physically grow older, didn't eat human food, etc. and most parents ended up so uncomfortable with it that they got rid of their child. And because they looked like children, it was difficult for them to get jobs >

The child turned vampires were also understandably bitter.

#14 incognito mode isn't intended to stop chrome or Firefox from knowing where you go, it's meant to keep all the other assholes like Facebook from tracking you.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

*It's so Chrome can monopolize your data to sell at a premium

#7 Damn, that stuff would be a nightmare... can you imagine forever looking like a 10 year old? You cant even make friends with adults, because they will most likely be suspected of something horrible if you start hanging with a group of 30-40 year olds, everything in any regular home is always out of reach for you, you are utterly dependend on adult looking friends for almost everything in life...
Fuck, I would have taken a field walk on a sunny day when I turned like 20 at the latest...

1 year ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 0

Eh, maybe a little facial makeup and you can just tell people you have some kind of disease. Add a walking cane or crutch to really sell it.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

On the plus side if you only kill horrible people being a child may make it easier to find food.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ymmv, I was 5'8" when I was 10(5th grade), had a mustache and I could drive a car. Had a massive growth spurt when I was 8.

My life was basically the opposite, I was hanging out with kids my age and a lot of people got weirded out. I got treated like someone way older than I was, always had responsibility pushed on me.

Now I have kids and my biological 7 year old daughter is the same height as my non-biological 13 year old daughter. The 13 year old is NOT happy with this.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Ever heard of Shauna Rae? That's basically her life.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Damn, what a living hell...

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I actually had this thought watching Twilight of all things. Edward being trapped in the body of a teenager is a real damned if you do/damned if you don't situation when it comes to dating. I'd have staked myself well before hitting 100 if I were him.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They could people they have a medical disorder that stops them from aging. Which would be the truth.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Please look up Evangeline A. K. Mcdowell :P

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's no one here read or seen "Interview with the Vampire?"

1 year ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

Highlander the Series also explored this, very fucked up for the affected

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

HAS no one... I hate my phone's speech-to-text.

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I seem to recall part basically being "Yeah, we don't turn kids into vampires because eventually they go fucking bonkers"

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

It's a concept that's been played with quite a bit in sci-fi/fantasy. I just binged Warehouse 13 recently, and one of the characters is stuck as a 15 year old for centuries. Old enough to have feelings, but in a body too premature for an adult partner to feel comfortable with. He lives several lifetimes' worth of rejections and just wants to age.

1 year ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

There’s also an Octavia Butler novel, Fledgling, where the protagonist looks like a 12 year old at most but is apparently 50-something. It’s real weird.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It took me a long while to figure out who tf you were talking about (Nick right?) wasn’t really a huge fan of that plot line tbh so I think I blanked it out lol

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There’s this little Indy film based on a little known novel, maybe you’ve heard of it, Interview with the Vampire? This problem is a major part of the plot. Turning a vampire that young is basically illegal in the vampire community. There are so many just, wrong things about a mature person being perpetually that young. Imagine falling in love while having the body of a 10 year old.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Yep, but that and anime are the references people always go to for "old person in young body." Wanted to go with one that wasn't obscure but probably isn't as well-worn.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That movie was from Indianapolis? I had no idea.

#1 I need to rewatch Moon Knight. That was a pretty good season.

#23 At that point he's very much aware of the danger he is in, and how little choice he has in writing those letters.

page 34 "it would be madness to quarrel openly with the Count whilst I am so absolutely in his power; and to refuse would be to excite his suspicion and to arouse his anger. He knows that I know too much, and that I must not live, lest I be dangerous to him. My only chance is to prolong my opportunities. Something may occur which will give me a chance to escape."

Coming in 5th, gettign 25 Bitcoins while 1st place gets 500... WOW that's kind of insult that if you place 1st to 4th you're STILL losing to the 5th till 8th place

#49 I'm halfway (fully) convinced that this is how we get the mandala effect on other things in the past. And then it just ceases to exist and even though there's EVIDENCE that it once existed, people are like 'nah' and the rest of us that remember it are left feeling like we've come from some alternate fucking timeline. So REMEMBER THIS, when we're told in 10yrs that the burger king version never existed.

Corporate gaslighting

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The most hilarious version of this is on the UK version of Demolition Man they've badly dubbed "Pizza Hut" over every reference to Taco Bell

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

It doesn't help that when stuff gets remastered or released to different formats sometimes they go in and make subtle changes for no particular reason. Compare a Laser Disc release of The Lion King with a later Blu-ray and you'll notice a handful of minor changes.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

"Oh shit, it's a fucking lion with a boar and some kinda weird ferret." "Keep digging, Charles, we'll find this coal vein if i have to die for it."

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Star Wars is a big offender of this.

This is also done with syndicated television shows, replacing product placements with newer products

#4 oh my heart

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#15 because the inaccuracy goes both ways. It's people who don't know they're being flirted with, and people who are convinced they are.

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

My friend posted on social media that she liked the song "Take a Chance on Me" by ABBA and tagged a man she knows and was upset that he didn't get the hint to ask her out. That guy has no clue what was happening there on another level beyond she likes a certain song by a popular musical group. I told her that is not communicating as clearly as she thinks it is.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Would it work in reverse - would she get the hint herself?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm guessing she would not. One time she told me that she doesn't think she's ever seen me flirt. Oh? Okay. I think I was way more obvious than her.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some reason my first only thought is she would be weirded out and only awkward pain would happen

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#22 thinking the left picture has “rough unfeminine features” and the right looks more “like a normal woman” is admitting you exclusively encounter women through heavily filtered online images.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#2 Apparently it was a "potential prototype leak" that came out after the official logo unveiling in 2020. From one site, "fans are speculating that the peculiar font is hinting at the multiverse plot of the movie." Obviously, this was before Covid completely assed everything up and Jonathan Majors did his big ol' whoopsie that made Marvel scramble to rewrite everything.

Big Torment Nexus energy. Or Palantir, if we're being serious.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah, but that fucks - I totally love names like this.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

#15 no link to study? Also, flirting doesn't always mean actually being into the idea of more. Sometimes it's just a fun way of interacting and sometimes it's feeling out the possibility of something more.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#15 seems high to me

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Sure, only about 2% realize they are being flirted with, at the moment. But years later, nearly 50% figure it out.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

have legit happened to me something like 22 years later....

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Miss if you're warm I have a fan

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

that might do it, I'd properly have to ask still, to be sure

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Be sure to ask in the most self-deprecating and offensive away possible. And don't make it a question because then they might answer.

Try:

"Oh, you must be desperate to find me attractive."

That'll clear things up real fast. Trust me. I speak from experience.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's good, though, consent is important.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

oh, definetly, dont get me wrong... but then I'll doubt that, and ask again, life fucks you up it seems

#22 Game Aloy was pretty af.. what are these guys talking about????

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mind you these same people praised stellar blades female protag because all she was was a walking tits and ass

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ok full disclosure but I liked that one too. I like both. I don't have an opinion about how they should look. You give me a cutie like aloy I'll play it, you give me stellar blade anime like girl with tits I'll play it and you give me a bald headed girl in intergalactic, I'll play that too.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh I am not dissing Stellar Blade. It looks like a good game. I just know this same account was posting Stellar blade is 100% better because aloy is hideous

With a username like ApexAlpha, I would be surprised if he didn't say shit like that 😄
