In all seriousness, email or meet with the professor. Often there will be extra seats, or sometimes they will expand the class if enough ask

I know the professor and was told to call the department for an override. The department didn't care :/ I can ask again.

You might try having the prof email the dept person in charge, that's the way my uni is set up. They can't just take your word
