Reminds me of a work colleague thought that me wearing sunglasses was purely a fashion choice.. It's hot and bright. There isn't a cloud in the sky.. I'd like to maintain my eyesight, thank you very much........ Matt..
Every time I have someone visit me here in Vegas, their first words are "IT'S SO BRIGHT!" and then "IT'S SO HOT!" and I just hand them sunglasses and get them back inside.
I had a parent of one of my students upset with me when their kid came home from school and told them I said humans are animals. "Animals are animals, and humans are human. Humans are not animals." Had a really hard time convincing him that humans are human, but of a subgroup of animals. It took a while, but he got there.
Unrelated but i love their Twitter handle as it sounds more like an account that post outlandish wildlife facts that will make you go "ok then" instead of an official department
I renovated a house in west Texas in the 117 degree heat...never hurt so bad. Don't do it. Heat stroke, sunburn, heat cramps....It literally boils your brain. One word: pickle juice.
I wired up the surround sound speakers in my gameroom in Texas. Crawling around in the attic in what was probably around 120F, drinking about a gallon of water an hour. Sucked so bad. Had a walkie talkie so my wife could verify I was okay.
for heat cramps/ electrolytes- kid you not it seems to work https://www.washingtonpost.com/">eatment/">https://www.washingtonpost.com/wellness/2023/07/17/foot-leg-cramp-treatment/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19997012/
No way, I AM built different. I wilt in direct sunlight and my sinuses explode with exposure to the outdoors. I need filtered air, air conditioning, and a nice glass of water. Some music wouldn't hurt, and I wouldn't say no to someone lightly fanning me with a giant fan. Maybe some grapes. No trouble, but peeled would be best.
Just wait until you hear about my meal requirements! On the other hand, I won't try to escape when someone opens door, and I'm a good snuggler, and I'm pretty easy to keep entertained.

I can't be in the sun for more than like 20 minutes and I just wna lay down and nap. Something about it just kicks my sleep mode into gear

Maybe you'll die of heat exhaustion if you're gay?

You can actually buy it (just the juice aka brine) in gallon jugs these days.
