I know this is bad but

I know this is bad but I feel like covid has improved my life. Before covid, I worked at a job that I thought was worse than becoming destitute but couldn't quit because I was trying not to throw my life away, and I couldn't leave my house without planning what I would say if I ran into my parents and they told me I was fat/slutty/stupid/ect. I've been deeply depressed since I was 13 and am just starting to make my own decisions in life. Solitude has honestly helped me get I to a better job at a company that I respect, and given me time to gain some level of self respect. And I have an excuse not to see my family now (they insist that I'm being stupid for thinking covid is anything more than a cold) and I don't have to worry about running into them because I'm not going out much now. I'm more mentally stable now make more money, better career prospects, and some level of self respect for the first time since I was a teenager (I'm almost thirty now).
