Despite representing a state with one of the highest infection, hospitalization, and death rates of the current Delta surge, Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) couldn't help but waffle repeatedly on such a seemingly simple stance.
In the same interview, he repeatedly promoted the need to convince the public of the efficacy of the vaccine and encourage the public to become vaccinated; and promoted that anyone who didn't want to take the vaccine, shouldn't.
Its no wonder we have such a problem coming to any consensus.

You'd hate to anger the orange god.

mandate the vaccine and be over with it. This isn't a personal choice issue

"Well, that rooster won't crow with the three-legged hound dog." - Senator Kennedy, probably.

I thought that was a Joe Biden quote for a second

He should be calling for cancel of public events like Sturgis, concerts, Bourbon St before demanding cancel of a private event.

This isn't actually contradictory at all. The stance is: "Assure people the vaccine is effective and safe, and then let them choose."

You are absolutely correct, and this is coming from someone who thinks Kennedy is a piece of shit. His statements are not mutually exclusive
