Hey Imgur I need your advice for the Secret Santa Gift Exchange 2016
Please help Imgur: It´s the first time for me to participate in the SSGE (not with this account though, to keep it hidden from my match in case he´s looking). I got a match from the US and I need to ask you if there are any import regulations that I should obey when sending a box. I heard that Kinder Surprise for instance seems to be illegal in the US. Does anyone know if packets get opened and searched or maybe even scrapped if the contents do not match the US guidelines? I am planning to include some sweets actually (I´m from Germany and there´s really nice sweets here). Would that be alright? Is it uncommon to contact the match and ask about what in particular they like? I´d rather not do it thougt to keep the thrill for him.

I work in the us and my home office in in Canada.. they send us kinder eggs a few times a year ... never had an issue in the ten years.

We have a family friend in the Netherlands that sends us candy for Christmas, so except for the Kinder eggs, should be fine.
