Explanations for those who are interested:
I meet this girl online using dating app a few weeks ago. Since the first contact, we talked daily, and met once a week (theatre, restaurant, or jusk at the bar).
I don't want to expose her, but his reasons to decline was perfectly legitimate. She is a great person, and at least, I'm glad she wants to become a friend.
Even if I'm sad and disappointed, this is the first girl for whom I fall in love since my divorce. I thought I will not be able to love someone, but she show me that's not true, and that's very conformable to know that.
Now, we both agree that we will not talk anymore for a few days / weeks, but after that, we will continue to see each other. I'm the DM of a DnD adventure where she play, and we don't want to drop this . It just be a little delayed.

I also grew up in Quebec/NB area where I mingled and chated with a lot of Acadians, so I internally heard a lot of the text as Frenglish.

Not at all. She had a rough end with his previous boyfriend, and now she need many time before begin another relation.
