I know several Kiwis in Australia who receive social security benefits, so this is, at least partially, bullshit.

It should really say "limited" there. They can't claim unemployment for example and a lot of the ones they can claim are paid by NZ itself

The benefits kiwis do get but it's still a very one sided agreement

I'm not disagreeing that's it unequal. However, the Australian government is pretty shitty to everyone, including its citizens, not just NZ
