Of the barrier? I’d give it 50/50, it doesn’t look like it bowed. The truck? Fuck it, send the next one faster.

50mph ≈ 80 kilometers per hour

Theoretically it’s tested to 15T at 65mph but they aren’t allowed to claim it, the scale only goes to K12 for DoS

Try standing 5 feet away, granted it was a van and not a state body truck but my ass was throughly clenched with surprise

idk this is ok i guess but i prefer my videos with more frame penetration

This is the best I can do, any lower than K4 and it might as well be a gate arm

That would be an interesting item to have on a job resume

It definitely takes you interesting places. If it’s highly secure and within a 70 mile radius of DC I’ve probably been there.

I see these and I understand their importance. But all i can think is,"man, they're over here destroying perfectly good cars!"

Actually they’re gutted or completely inoperable, I got my first job in the industry selling an old state body for a crash test, they’re set

On a pulley table and accelerated to 50mph by a transfer cart that mounts under the frame

That makes me feel so much better!

The motor is only there for the added weight, they have to hole the gas tank before the test

That makes sense, I have never seen the expected fireball we all hope to see in one of these tests!
