Been down on my luck, wondering how I was gonna get a meal. Back on my feet now, well, standing at least.
While I was down, I volunteered for a group to help people worse off than me. I had a roof over my head.
The other day I got a letter with $200 worth of gift cards from a donor for my dog.
I mentioned he was what kept me grounded. Someone heard that. My best friend and I went on a shopping spree today.
