When I was a kid, I always thought the state on the side of the U-haul truck was the state that the people were moving to. Am I the only one who thought that?

I thought that's where they were coming from & there were Uhaul employees that drove them back

I thought it was where they came from and the truck sat until someone else went at least close to where it came from.
