Earlier this evening I saw a Vanillite get excited seeing an ice cream vendor dragging its trainer over and begging them for one of the delicious treats. This particular variety being the Casteliacone, famous for its resemblance to the adorable Pokemon. I think I’ll have to grab one for me and my partner.

#582: Vanillite:
Vanillite Eggs are encased in ice and made to look like icicles. They are often found on rocky overhangs, or on the eaves of homes in northern regions facing to the east to slowly thaw using the morning sun. When the ice in which the egg is encased grows thin from regular thawing it will begin to hatch breaking free from its “unique,” incubator.
The first thing Vanillite must do is find a humid area and freeze the water in the air around its head to help protect its head from predators and daylight heat alike. Because of the shape of its head the frost that forms around it often ends up looking like an ice cream cone, the comparison being made stronger by the markings of its body that have a “waffle cone-like” effect.
Vanillite often feeds off of mosses and small grasses. In rare instances it will hunt small grass type Pokemon such as Petilil, but prefers not to as it is generally a timid Pokemon.
