My dad surprised us with a random trip to Hawaii for Christmas. (literally decided, "Fuck it. I need to use these miles, let's go to Hawaii!)
Mom and dad met here so it was going to be increasingly special. But then my mom had to work at a cancer center the whole week.
And she couldn't come. I wanted to stay with her, but she insisted I go. It's my first time here. So here are some pictures from Diamond Head! I hope you see these!
I'm glad you could be selfless this week and enjoy life away from our crazy sparky family for a few days (how she described it). I'll show this post to you myself if I have to, but it means everything to me that you did what you thought was right.

TLDR: I wished my mom to see this. She had to stay home to take care of cancer patients while we went to Hawaii.
