Pro tip: use unscented Celan Shower. It breaks up gunpowder residue.

Gunpowder is pretty easy to clean. The copper/lead residue is where the problems come in. I still use old school hoppe's #9.

Had one for of those for my .22 and they work surprisingly well much easier then rods for a quick clean

I use one for my a400, most times a single pull gets the barrel perfectly clean. Rarely do I need to do it twice.
