Littlest barbarian fell backwards in bed. With such severe osteoporosis, he might have cracked his pelvis. We've been through triage. Now we're waiting to get called. The Dr will hopefully order a pelvic xray

I feel you. Some wait times are ridiculous.

Small town hospitals are feeling the manpower crunch more than big cities.

I live in a city in Canada. My 34 year old son waited in emergency for 6 hours with stomach pains, that turned out to be appendices. Finally got in and they sent him up to sugary quickly and had his appendix taken out.

We've only had to wait that long once with middle son when he had a fever and really raspy cough. Youngest is disabled with a host of physical ailments. So we often get a higher triage rating than the bare symptoms would call for.

Wait how would he hurt his pelvis falling into bed

Massive steroid doses to protect cardiac function cause severe osteoporosis. He's due for his Zometa infusion next week, which means his bones are at peak brittleness. He was sitting in bed and lunged forward to get a toy and then fell back onto his pillow. Something went pop in his upper butt, so we're doing due diligence and getting a pelvic xray

Better safe than sorry. Good luck

Progress!

That's what we figure. Lil guy is resting fine, almost no pain and anxious to go home. We think we're next in the queue.
