I saw this Houn Pine butt yesterday at Lake Peddar in Tasmania.
Just follow down
Oops...
Huon Pine is a gorgeous timber. Very light, beautiful to work and because it is slightly oily it is very durable.
Naturally it was hugely popular and almost wiped out. Humans huh?

Where you *were, perhaps?

"You know that part in the bible where it says, 'In the beginning...'. Well, I was there." Tree probably.

Thank fuck we cut down this ancient tree. How else would we remember these historical dates.

love the quotation marks
GanjalfTheClear
Yeah, but only on Tasmania, and not America?
Phobos613
I assume cause this is in Tasmania and the people writing that cared more about that than America

Salvaged?

The area was dammed in the 70's. This butt was removed from an area that is now under water. There was a huge political stoush over damming.

"Killed".
