More likely OP's source didn't understand the concept of Oort cloud comets. Whether it will return or not is unknown.

Were you able to see it with your naked eye? My camera could see it well enough, but I couldn't.

Yes, it has been quite striking the last few nights. I think it looks better to the naked eye, you can see the entire tail. Note I live in the mountains

I was able to see it with my eyes. Had to basically use peripheral sight though.
