Cut three potatoes into finger width pieces.

Mixed with 2tbsp olive oil, 1tsp lawry's seasoning salt, and 1/2tsp black pepper.

Put fries on pan and bake at 400F for an hour.

Cut up five pearl onions. http://i.imgur.com/Y4QBRp6.jpg

Flip fries halfway through baking.

Brown onions and 1/2lb ground beef. Added 1/4tsp of black pepper and garlic salt.

Beef broth for gravy.

Bought lean beef by mistake. Not enough grease, so had to thicken it with corn starch. Gravy lumps are the worst.

Cheese curds!

Fries out of the oven.

Fries, beef, curds, and gravy. Tastes great to me!

Don't bake with oils that have low smoke points or you're going to have a bad time....

As a big fan of all those seperate ingredients, they look pretty rough together. I've heard it tastes great though, so I'll pipe down....

Yeah, presentation leaves a lot to be desired, but it's a fantastic comfort food.

I didn't know poutine had beef in it. Thought it was just fries and gravy

Real (traditional) poutine doesn't. Cheese curds are necessary though, not just gravy.

Pulled pork poutine is amazing

From what I've seen, it differs from place to place.

Poutine is always one of the most unattractive things you can make.

I think you made more of a mess, please clean the years of filth off that poor tea kettle. And clean the stove while you're at it.

Whisking out gravy lumps did make a mess. The kettle has been forgotten on the stove once or twice.

Sorry it really is not that bad.

Looking at the picture, the kettle looks far worse with the dusting of cornstarch that it got. xD
