What the US was listening to around this time 30 years ago on the radio. I'm gonna go take my back medicine now.

All bangers!

I never realized the Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove charted! I love that song.

I'm shocked the label got DcD to record something close to radio format. But, it fits. When all the alt stations started popping up, they'd throw everything at the wall. Don't think we'd hear My Bloody Valentine on the radio now (or DcD).

How have I never heard "Into your arms", which was at #1 for at least 9 weeks, ever before in my life I wasn't quite 10 yet, but damn, I've at least heard of damn near all these songs. Am I the only one that this track slipped by?
Hurro
Literally just youtubed it because I love Found Out About You thinking did this hold them out of number one?

I totally forgot about this song. Thank you imgur poster for reminding me. I looked it up and listened to it for the first time in years (maybe decades). I had the biggest crush on Natalie Merchant. Still do. But, I used to

Lol, she's on this chart twice. Here, and her last performance with 10K Maniacs, "Because the Night"
Hurro
I would've pegged "Because The Night" as an 80s song for sure..
seafox7
Your instincts are right. It's from Patti Smith, 1978. 10000 Maniacs did it on their MTV Unplugged album, when that was ALL the rage in the 90s.

My wife still plays that Bjork album like it dropped yesterday. Bjork, Cake, Prince and Bloodhound Gang - all she really listens too (unless I trick her) she's so fucking goofy
ElbowDeepInUserSub
A number of years back, after being a bit Bjork deprived, I found and downloaded her entire discography. I got stuck in a hole, and listened to nothing but her for 3 days or so, until my roommate yelled from his room "DUDE, play something else!"
