And ol be that much funnier when DeSantis gets embarrassed again because he's a fucking idiot.

As I mentioned, just pass a law to transfer all titles and properties to DeSantis' personal bank account. Why not, no rule of law there

3 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 0

Sure there is. It's just that the law is whatever Ron asks for. Then the Legislature passes it, Ron signs it, and it's all legal.

3 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

How very Russian of them.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He will MAKE it... legal

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I dunno... If I got my ass kicked by a mouse I probably wouldn't want to go another round.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is this some sort of con? A set up? A distraction? Is it like a WWF wrestling match whereby they take two heels, whom are both in on it, and turn one into a hero? I just don’t trust either side, in this thing.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll put good money on Disney coming out of this smelling good. Disney's lawyers are some cold, calculating people.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For a guy who keeps saying this is all for decency, he sure likes being fucked by a mouse in public over and over.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

against Disney's lawyers? MorganFreemanGoodLuck.Gif

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

See you in court, sonny.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’m reminded of a line from a film about events in Haiti: a visitor asks a Haitian why they couldn’t use the law to protect them against the Tonton Macoute: He replies, ‘Tonton make law, Tonton make order.’

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He doesn't realize that the battle was lost long ago. May DuhSantis' career end on this hill!

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I expect that Disney has excellent lawyer, and lot of them. Desantis will get an education, and a spanking.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He wants the money that they contribute to the less fortunate…under his grip.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope Disney sues the pants off of DeSantis

3 years ago | Likes 252 Dislikes 0

Disney? A multi multi billion dollar company? Sue Florida that can’t help there own people? How could that work out?….

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hell, with how this has gone, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney's next move is to get DeSantis to sue DeSantis.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

*After being sued

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Disney will move or just build a floating F 'ing island right offshore while laughing their asses off and not paying any taxes at all!

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh this will be in courts for decades

The money would just come out of the taxpayers so he doesn’t care

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know what I hope? I hope they close their Florida park and open up shop exactly six inches across state lines, as a big middle finger.

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately, I doubt they’ll ever be able to replace it. The park is nearly 50 square miles, bought at decades ago prices. That’s roughly the size of San Francisco. I don’t see how they would piece together 50 square miles of undeveloped land anywhere near a viable city without some landowner getting word and holding out for extortion level prices. Then again, Disney does have fuck you money so we can hope.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the meantime, charge a $50 governor-is-asshoe-attorney fee to every Florida resident

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Can they sue anything else off of him? No one wants to see his junk.

3 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

What if they sued off his junk at the same time?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll need an electron microscope to see it…assuming it’s still there.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Too late for him, let's hope it's not too late for floridian

DeShitstain threatens to build prison next to Disney World - https://www.rawstory.com/ron-desantis-disney-prison/

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

DeSantis is such a piece of shit that he's got me rooting for a giant asshole corporation.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

and I suspect Universal may go soon after if DeSadist succeeds in booting Disney. They'll be fine with being the only game in town, but you know the Executives are watching this very closely and already thinking of alternative locations and then the moron chased off the state's biggest money makers and employment centers.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Im going to laugh so hard as I watch him and his sidechumps getting wrecked by the House of Mouse Legal Legion.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Turns out that Harvard and Yale education didn't take.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh the privileged sociopath factories churned out another privileged sociopath? :P

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh honey, the Republicans have been deeper in the dark side than even Palpatine, for over 50 years now.

3 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 1

no wonder, considering the stench of their ideas...

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Since the backroom deal to get Hayes in office that ended reconstruction.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And they've been even deeper into Trump's dark side since at least 2015.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Check out DeSantis' time at Gitmo. This isn't new behaviour.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Repubs new form of "small government". I wish picking up stakes and moving was a reasonable answer for Disney. But waiting for this asshole to go away is probably least costly option.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Republicans have always meant small government spending for the people and big government spending for corporations.

Disney should move to Puerto Rico

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Or California. They already put a hold on moving 4000 jobs from CA to FL. Mostly graphics people and their support staff.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I was just trying to think of someplace on the east coast that would work and still be part of the territorial US. CA already has DisneyLand on the west coast.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I see your point. Disney does entertain a lot of "local" traffic. But I suppose the same is true in CA. Their investment is monumental... and Ron is counting on that to keep them in FL no matter what he does. But, the day the equations show that Ron's actions are causing it to go the wrong way is the day they plan the move.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They already have a few well laid out. plans. It would be stupid if they didn’t.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Disney has already purchased land in several states on the east coast where they could move the magic kingdom to. This was done in anticipation of Florida no longer being physically able to support Disney due to rising sea levels. Looks like Ronnie is going to run the off ahead of time.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Republicans like DeSantis work hard everyday to protect us from government overreach and from letting the government tell our businesses what to do based solely on their ideology, which is our first amendment right. /s

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Nullify a legal contract? Good luck.

3 years ago | Likes 219 Dislikes 1

You act like "legal" means the same thing, or even has meaning, to all parties involved with this discussion.

3 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Republican SCOTUS: Contracts have historically been more of a guideline, when we don't like them.

3 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 2

It's more like a treaty... We didn't really mean that.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This'll never get to SCOTUS.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

DeTaintus wants his private army for exactly this, so the legal system can't stop him from forcing, by threat of lethal harm, his will regardless of the actual laws.

Disney is something like 50-60 biggerst company on the fortune 500 list in this world, but that said their business in florida doesn't seem to be in top 100. Still seems like a bad company to fight. It won't be long before somebody trick DeSantis into show-casing some mickey mouse and he will be sued for 300 years by disney

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

The important factor is that they're the biggest employer in FL, contributing 70+ billion to the economy per year. Disney can survive losing Disney World, Florida can't.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Well that certainly doesn't make me change my assessment of it being a bad idea for florida to fight Disney

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Disney is the largest employer at a single site (75,000 employees in central FL), but Walmart is a larger employer overall with 115,000 employees statewide. By revenue, Disney's not even Top Ten. That said, would Central Florida even exist without Disney? Hell, no.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I am curious as to the other factor. Bringing in visitors. Like, visitors stopping at Walmart to buy things to bring into Disney World...

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The measure isn't in pure revenue. It's what they generate. Disney is a tourist attraction that generates billions for symbiotic businesses. No one is going to Florida to shop at Walmart.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

What would really be great but won’t happen is that Disney says 🖕DeSantis and moves Disneyland out of Florida!

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It will if he wins

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

disney could just buy the state of florida at this point

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I love that idea. Then they could hire DeSantis to wear the “Dopey” costume!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He went full fascist when he sent the cops in guns drawn on the covid report lady. He’s just continuing to show us what hell do if elected.

3 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

Or when he arrested her son a week or so ago.

3 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its fine, the cops just did that at his word, with no warrant, or evidence, or charges, or reasons for suspicion other than "the governor said to do it". But it's totally not the same as using force for intimidation...

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Definitely, definitely, DEFINITELY not defending them but, from what it appears, he was threatening to shoot up a school.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

He 100% did not do that

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

All he did was share a meme criticizing cops response time in the event of a school shooting. This was posted in a private chat, that authorities were able to gain access to by impersonating a student's cousin.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And they only did so because Desantis told them to do it

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's such a weird world where I'm actively cheering on the Disney legal team.

3 years ago | Likes 494 Dislikes 0

The Mouse winning is gonna break some pretty dicey ground......

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know, right?

3 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 0

I don't care if Disney wins, I just want him to lose.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cheeing for is a bit much. Knowing that they will wim because disney has all the money and all the lawyers? Reveling in the fact that one wanna be dicktator and the undispited ruler of the entertainment sphere are gonna fight and the dicktators gonna lose? Savoring it. Luxuriating in the agony of his defeat? Tge enemy of my enemy need not be my friend. But they are sure my enemies enemy!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, in a perfect world, they'd both lose, but I'll settle for Disney collecting DeSantis' scalp and wearing it like a pair of cheap, plastic Mickey ears.

3 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 0

Embroidered with deathsantis.

I don't care if Disney wins, I just want DeSantis to lose.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I prefer to think that I'm cheering against DeSantis.

It's like watching a villain that wants to rule the world beat the crap out of a villain that wants to destroy the world.

3 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

It like Lex Luther vs. Galactus (I don't know enough DC or marvel to pick in universe examples)

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Um, Darkseid vs Thanos would be a better analogy.

Lex Luthor vs the Joker. One is at least likely to pretend to follow the law
