I'm assuming it's a wonderful rebellion

I can get behind this beautiful revolt.

Imgur got bought by MediaLab. They have been breaking stuff behind the scenes. They fired all the staff to pivot to an AI moderation model. On top of the other bugs, sitewide notifications broke on Friday. They didn't get fixed til Monday. In the meantime they ignored reports. Then started removing complaint posts and temp banning users who were critical of them. So now we riot. And by riot I mean post FUBD memes to make the front page nothing but that.

FUBD memes and advertiser-averse posts such as hard and soft pour corn, ecchi gifs and pictures (both real life and animated), curse laden posts, and other things that advertisers don’t want to associate themselves with.

Anticapitalist rhetoric and cross engagement, after the recent sale they fired most of the longtime staff. then notifications broke... for three days. then they started deleting the posts complaining about the notifications on monday, then with no communication they started banning people, then some people went "If I'm getting banned I'm postin the gif", some bans got reverted, but all is buck wild now. the protest will continue, the community is actively seeking a site that isn't enshittified.
