My family eats like this every weekend, it's times like this I miss home.

I've been serving overseas for the past few years and while I do get opportunities to go home, I tend to use my leave to travel to new countries. My mom's sisters were in town visiting (from Thailand) and my father just posted this picture of our typical Saturday dinner my uncle usually makes for us.
What you see here is Kanom Jeen (Sticky white noodle), Gang Kaeow Wan (sweet green curry), Moo Tod (fried pork), and a ton of different veggies. Not pictured (but I'm sure it's there somewhere) are my uncle's fried fish, pesto pasta, and cesar salad. Yes I know those aren't really Thai dishes, but he worked as a chef in a classy italian restaurant when he was younger and I've yet to have anything near as satisfying... and I've lived in Italy!

My aunt doesn't eat beef (for religious reasons) so my uncle stopped buying so much. He's been known to make some awesome T-bone steaks tho!

Yum!

Nono, Yum is a Thai lime based salad. Most of the veggies here are for canceling out the strong flavors of each dish :p

No it's not...It's healthy food. You should try it.

Good point. Commoners in the middle ages were often much healthier than royalty for the same reason. Rich=sweets. Poor=veggies.

um i think it's actually the opposite. it's refreshing to see a veggie-filled healthy meal instead of just meat on meat on cheese x10

But I love meat on meat on cheese :((

How 'bout adopting? I'm a 35 year old male, but I'm down for a new family. :)

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to adopt of-aged adults, let alone one who's older than I am. But If you're down for some backpacking then Fyeah

Wait, what state are you in? I'm not sure if I can backpack interstate every week, even for a meal that awesome.

I wish it were that easy to pick up dates. Be like, "Yo, check this pic of my dinner. Hunnghhh!"

Have you actually tried it? "Hey, want to come for a family dinner this weekend? We'll be having THIS." I guarantee the panties would drop.

I'm now regretting not trying this sooner in my life. I'd feel like some sort of sick food pimp for my uncle XD
