I realize this is unrealistic for a lot of people because of how ingrained Google is. Businesses rely on it, medical facilities, GPS, educational facilities, etc. But if you can avoid Google, do it. So much for "do no evil"
There are some alternatives, but when you have a powerful monopoly on the industry, it makes those alternatives challenging to utilize in a meaningful way. Duckduckgo doesn't work for sites I have to use as a student, just as an example.
AOL isn't the best site for news, but I believe it. Google is fucking evil and so is Yahu. If I find a more reputable source, I'll update.
