Nothing dangerous or bad (to the owner) is written about them in the lore, but I like to imagine they throw up warp-balls instead of hair-balls.

I guess it depends how intelligent they are. Cause if they are really smart, the Inquisition might consider them a Xenos race, and you as a heretic if you have one. Especially since they "boost psychic powers" which means they have some powers related to the warp.
Or instead of hairballs, they cough up small daemons

So other than being emotionally and psychically bonded to a feline and all the fun that comes with that there's no known downside to a psyker bonding with a Gyrinx. Of course the psychic space cat has to want to bond with you and they're heavily restricted as a psychic xenos species in the imperium. They are apparently not the fastest breeding species either or they'd be more prolific among the eldar.

It was a great game (once my favorite!) with some interesting design concepts behind it. A lot could be learned from that game. Unfortunately, Tencent bought them. I cannot morally support anything that company owns. They are a blight that makes EA and Blizzard at their worst look like Larian does currently.

No shame in voting with your wallet; you do you. Personally I'm fine with supporting DE even if a little of that is passed to Tencent. At least, from what I can tell, Warframe has kept its promise to remain "creatively independent" from their Stock Owners, and has a very fair MTX system (unlike most ftp games)

Those aren't actually, they're from a series by the same artist of various Gyrinx styled after Aeldari factions, the purple one being a Harlequin owned one and the spotted one Exodites.
The two headed one is Drukhari and the red one Anrathe/Corsairs
