Assuming repubs really do take away the aca and strip certain benefits, it makes one wonder if the intent is to take poor people off of psychiatric medication all at once, to help bolster claims of dangerous socialists. Would people be allowed to protest anymore if rightwingers intentionally incite violence at every event to cause chaos so ther enemies will be blamed? musk clearly supports such propaganda.

I don't think they are planning anything as detailed as that. Of course, they would do that if they get the chance, anything that gives them an excuse to grasp more power.
But I think they are just riding populist fascism as far as they can, and "reducing spending" by taking safety nets and support and stuff that actually saves money long-term away from "undeserving people" is just more of the same shtick.

It's much simpler... If you're poor, sick and fighting to live day to day it is much harder to meaningfully participate in democracy. Keep people poor and ignorant with a healthy dose of control the dialogue then you can do whatever you want with no one to stop you.

In what way? trump said he would become a dictator, is supportive of using violence against protestors, has tried to repeal the ACA without anything to replace it, demands loyalty from everyone. How do you believe that generally works out? Does it sound benign to you?
